Dear Parents,
It is with great pleasure that I announce that our Varsity and Junior Varsity summer teams have been accepted to participate in Penn State’s Lady Lion Team Camp. This year’s team camp will be held on the weekend of August 1st & 2nd on the main campus of Penn State University at University Park, PA. This highly regarded team camp will provide our girls with the chance to play against top competition from across the state of Pennsylvania while providing the opportunity to strengthen your daughter’s bond with her teammates.
The cost to attend Penn State team camp is $200 per player. That cost includes housing, meals, games, instruction and a camp t-shirt. This amount is paid directly to Penn State via a credit or debit card during the on-line registration process. Completed individual player applications along with payment must be received on-line to Penn State by July 8th. If you are potentially unable to pay for team camp by July 8, please speak to me in private so that I can make separate arrangements for your daughter to attend. Below, I have included the registration link and the steps needed to register on-line.
We are planning to leave from Stroudsburg High School on the afternoon of Friday, July 31st to travel to Penn State University. Once at Penn State, we will visit the campus, have a team meal in State College, and stay overnight at a local hotel near campus. I will collect an additional $50 per girl on Friday, July 31st to place toward the cost of our team dinner and hotel expense. Our Booster Club will cover any additional expenses regarding our meal and hotel on Friday evening.
If you are interested in driving to State College, please let me know as soon as possible, so that we can confirm that we have enough drivers. We will need at least 5 drivers to transport the girls to and from Penn State.

NOTE **Camp meeting is open to and optional for parent(s)/legal guardian(s). The camp meeting allows for the opportunity to meet the camp director and camp staff members and have questions answered.
Notes
Equipment to Bring: Appropriate basketball gear (Basketball shoes/sneakers)
Dorm Rooms: Bed Linens are provided. Pillow, Blankets & Towels are not provided.
Small refrigerators and microwaves are in the dorm rooms.
Fans are highly recommended. Rooms are NOT air-conditioned.

Dear Parents,
Thank you for sending your daughter to team camp at Penn State. The experience was very rewarding on and off the court. On the court we played 6 competitive games versus teams from New York, Central, and Southern Pennsylvania. Off the court, we saw everything Penn State had to offer from the Lion Shrine to Rec Hall to the Creamery. We will be a better program this season for having experienced this weekend.
This week, it has come to my attention that many of you may have joined a free trial membership in Active Advantage during your daughter’s registration for team camp. Active Advantage is the website host for Penn State team camp as well as an online fitness community featuring articles and coupons. Your free trial membership in Active Advantage is valid for 1 month from the date you signed your daughter up for camp. After 1 month, Active Advantage will charge your credit card $70.00 for your annual membership. In order to confirm that you are not registered in the free trial and that you do not want to be billed for your membership please send the following email to Active Advantage.

It is recommended that you send this email if you are unsure about having a trial membership. Active Advantage will email you within 10 minutes to confirm receipt of your email. They will provide confirmation that your membership is cancelled within 1 day. It is my hope that this letter prevents anyone from being charged for an unwanted membership.
